Attorney Scott Nelson

Scott Nelson attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he earned a degree in economics and marketing. From there, he entered St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate, graduating in the top 15 percent of his class. While at St. Mary’s, Mr. Nelson held a position as note and comment editor for the St. Mary’s Law Journal.
Early in his career, Mr. Nelson acted as briefing attorney for Chief Justice Richard Barajas of the Eighth District Court of Appeals in El Paso. He later worked as staff attorney for the United States District Court in Corpus Christi, Texas. He has twice been recognized in Texas Monthly magazine as one of the Super Lawyers® Rising Stars. This honor indicates peer recognition and professional achievement and is reserved for the top 2.5 percent of the lawyers in Texas.
